This restaurant is a real gem. It is reasonably priced, centrally located in Sharbot Lake, only a mile from the intersection of Highway #38 and No. 7 Trans Canada Highway. The owners are all about the quality of the service and the quality of the food. It is about time that we had a good restaurant, at a reasonable cost, that was a joy to eat in. One can also get very nice Ceylonese dishes.

I did not stay in the Inn, I was there for dinner. I ordered liver and onions, bacon, mashed potatoes and gravy ‘To Go”, and it was perfect. The man who was running the place was very friendly and wonderful to talk to.

We didn't use the rooms but the restaurant is excellent. From the soups ie the selection and taste. Wow!! Out of this world. The main course was to die for as well. Everyone needs to go there and try something....even a new taste/flavor.

I stayed here for a week while visiting the area. The food here is amazing. The fish and chips are the greatest I've ever had, clearly their newfoundland roots are showing through. The service was A, Sandra and Jessie were so nice and polite. The rooms have a fantastic view of Sharbot Lake itself. I found the bed very comfortable and the room seemed to be recently updated. I very much look forward to visiting again next year.

WE did not stay at the Sharbot Lake Country Inn, but we did have a very nice lunch at the Crossing Pub. Big timbered columns and lots of room for eclectic table groupings with banks of booths that sit an easy 6 or 8 folks make this a gathering place. Outdoors space is also established and set below the street line so noise is not so much a factor. The kitchen is modern and works on a modest menu and the service was friendly and easy. We had the fish and chips, a large piece of cod with really good fries and tartar sauce with a twist. Delicious, and I know fishnchips! This place looks like it's accessible and the big open areas once you are inside would make it easy. Washrooms are just off the dining room, and it looks like the small stage has had a lot of use for the weekend crowd. All in all, if we are up that way in the near future, we will stay at the Country Inn and dine again at the Crossing Pub.

Clean, quiet room with lovely view of the lake. Nice back porch to enjoy the view too. Great value. Beds are super comfy. Mini fridge and mini microwave came in handy. Flexible bookings. Food at the pub is very good too. Would definitely go back.

We stay at a cottage not far from Sharbot Lake for Thanksgiving every year, so can't speak to the rooms but if anything like the food would have no fear recommending that either. This year driving through we saw Crossing Pub and decided to try it for a meal. We both had the fish and chips ... it was wonderful! We had take out ( 10 minutes to cottage ) and called order in ahead. It was ready in about 15 minutes...was packaged nicely for the drive back and staff was very courteous and nice! The portion sizes were very generous...the fish was excellent! The seasoning and the light crispy batter ...just wonderful! Highly recommend and will definitely be back next year!

We stayed in room 7 and it was very Clean. When there was something we needed they were right on top of it . They welcomed my dog which was very pleasing to us . She was aloud to run free even though I was with her to make sure all messes were cleaned up . I would recommend this place very much so. We were there September 15 and 16 and I like the fact that check out time is at 11 where most places are at 10. I can't say enough about how great this place is
